It has been a very difficult year for many value stocks, especially on the smaller side, but Patterson Companies (PDCO) has been clawing back the gains we gave up after management delivered muted guidance in September. Now we’re up almost 15% again counting dividends and second-quarter earnings are only a few weeks away.
I think it’s time to take our profit off the table. Competitor Henry Schein reported disappointing revenue this quarter, and should PDCO do the same, I believe a lot of our recent gains could evaporate. We don’t need that.
Sell PDCO and capture our win before the market mood gets a chance to take it away. Inner Circle, you too.
